I had intended for this blog to be about more than weight loss but I haven't made it that far because my life is consumed with not being a fatty anymore. Seriously it enters my thoughts daily, it's annoying.
So I saw the Dr. Phil show last week (Don't you judge you bastards watch too I know it) and I saw the pink diet. Of course I was suckered in now I maintain that even if I don't like the diet I plan on using the DVDs for cross training so it's not entirely a lost cause, but oh how I wish that the diet is one I can work with.
Back to my point, I haven't received my stuff in the mail yet, but I did get a chance to go online and see a bit of the program. Today for breakfast was their "Pink smoothie" for breakfast. I was excited about this, I thought you know if this fills me up it's a easy breakfast that has health value, win win win.
That would have been all perfect except that the smoothie tasted like I just licked my left armpit after a 4 mile run. DEFEAT. Smoothie -1 Me - 0
That being said I think the smoothie has potential I think it was the hemp powder that pushed it over the edge for me. Which makes me sad because all things hemp should be awesome and this just killed it for me. I'm pretty sure I liked the coconut milk which is a bonus since when I have tried things like rice and almond milk I would have rather starved than drank those again, so progress right?
Truth is I am running and I am making progress and I can make a flippin diet work. I can, I must, because taking off some of this weight is a real key I think for me to increasing speed and not blowing out my knee or hip or some other geriatric issue that I shouldn't be thinking about at age 31.
Back to the drawing board.
ps. The real progress here is that I am not all defeated, I came I tried the hemp powder and now I'm thinking about making a t-shirt that says that shit sucks balls. ;)

I think I love this blog. You had me at "My life is consumed with not being a fatty anymore," because hey, MINE TOO. Wedding date moved from '13 to '12, and seriously, enough is freaking enough. Wedding pictures are forever. And other reasons. But that one's a good motivator. I'll definitely be following this. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I DO secretly watch Dr. Phil, how did you know? At the gym. Sigh.
